Story
Can you imagine what it is like being a parent of a young child when the doctor tells you that your child has cancer.
"Cancer?" you cry! "How can that be?"
Can you imagine, after you get over the shock, the doctor going on to say "But there is a treatment and the chance that your child will live a normal and healthy life"
Such conclusions are possible because of the work of the Childrens Cancer Institute.
We support their efforts and raise funds every year in The Balmoral Swim.
Support us in the very valuable quest.
The ACES are Anita Comelli's Excellent Squad. We swim in her memory but also for all those children who have yet to get their diagnoses, in the hope that their doctor will be able to then go on and give them hope.

Every year more than 950 children and adolescents will be diagnosed with cancer in Australia.
Every week nearly three Australian children will die of cancer.
Children’s Cancer Institute exists solely to put an end to childhood cancer through medical research. We don’t just hope to do it. We will do it.
